Members of Portland's team played and started on Division II national champion Seattle and the second place PNW Power team in Division IV.  Members of Portland had played for Vancouver during the Pacific Northwest championships in August.  Vancouver won the Division one championship.  Neither team had won a championship in the past.  In Division one Denver (6) and San Diego (2) had combined to win the last eight national championships. 

The team is growing and has shown success with their first nationals experience with ten players playing on the Division four runner-up team and four players on the Division two championship team.  The future is bright and talented athletes are always welcome.
