Two players from Portland play a major role in Seattle taking second in the US footy nationals held in Mason, Ohio.  Seattle lost in the Division I final to perennial champion Denver. 

A large group of Portland players joined New York, Seattle and Vancouver players in Division III games.  This was a step up in division for the players and with no practice together they did not win a match.
